Nicholas just turned 18 months! So let's review what happened during the 17th month!

Nicholas is everywhere! He still loves hanging out at his cabinet in the kitchen. He places things in there like it's his own little house. He started to have an obsession with my broom, in fact he broke into the linen closet to get it out (the door remains off track). He would take the broom all around the house and a few times almost hit me in the face. So, just the other day I bought him a miniature broom for a dollar that also plays music. He now loves that broom! (thank goodness!)

On January 31 he weighed 25 lbs 15 ozs.  He recognizes people and says the following words: nooooo, yea, mama, DayDay (for Davis), cat, kitty, puppy, dog, eat, joo (juice), book, etc.

16 months!

Nicholas is 16 months old and for the past week and a half I have heard "no!" and "top!" (Nicholas speak for stop) a lot. He is certainly right where he should be according to every article I have found online regarding the subject! He gave me a kiss on my cheek this week all by himself. It was honestly one of the sweetest experiences of my life! (The sweetest was when we first met eyes right after he was born). He is also climbing or trying to climb on things. I have documented this in photos. He likes to put things in the trashcan that are not trash. He throws some of his toys in the bathtub. He is so sweet! He got into trouble at daycare a few weeks ago for knocking his friend in the face with a toy. Other than that, he enjoys his friends at school but has been crying lately when I leave. He has also been grunting when he doesn't get his way or is told no. Words he is saying: juice, no, top, juice, Boppy, eat.

This is Nicholas' favorite, favorite toy! Leap Frog Birthday cake. It has children cheering after they sing Happy Birthday and he cheers with them...yayyyy!!!!
